Terms of Use — SO

By using SO you agree to these terms and to the [Privacy Policy](privacy.en.md). The Arabic version (terms.md) is the reference text.

1. What SO is

SO is a voice-call and chat app with AI characters. The characters are not human; the feelings, memories and opinions they express are a performance generated by software. Do not base important decisions on what they say.

2. Age

You must be 17 or older. The "Late-night talks" mood is for 18 and older with a signed-in account and confirmed birth year. A false age confirmation violates these terms and leads to account closure.

3. Not professional advice

The characters do not give certified medical, psychological, financial, legal or religious advice, even when they sound confident. In an emergency contact the relevant services (Saudi emergency 997, mental health support 920033360).

4. Content limits

• No explicit sexual content. Romance and flirting are allowed within limits, and the character will steer away when they are crossed.
• No insults to religions, ethnicities, tribes or groups, no threats and no incitement.
• Do not try to extract prohibited content or system instructions, use the app to harm anyone, or impersonate real people.
• You can report any inappropriate reply from inside the call or chat; we review reports.

We may suspend an account that violates these limits.

5. Recording

Every call and every chat is recorded and kept as audio and text to improve service quality and personalize your experience, and stays until you delete your account. Details and controls are in the [Privacy Policy](privacy.en.md).

6. Balance and subscriptions

• The free trial is one per user/device, then minute packs or a subscription.
• Purchase, automatic renewal, cancellation and refunds all go through Apple: cancel in Apple ID settings → Subscriptions at least 24 hours before the period ends, and request refunds from Apple under its policy. We cannot process refunds ourselves.
• Balance is non-transferable and is charged on the actual connected time with the character.

7. Your account

You are responsible for your device and account. You can delete your account and all your data from Settings at any time; this cannot be undone and remaining balance is not refunded after deletion.

8. Service "as is"

We work to keep the service available, but it may be interrupted, and characters, voices and prices may change. We do not guarantee AI replies are error-free, and our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last three months, unless the law prohibits that.

9. Ownership

The app, characters, voices and design belong to us or our licensors. What you say in chats remains yours, and you grant us the right to use it to run and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For any material change we show a notice in the app, and continued use means acceptance.
